This post has no title

November 16, 2005 By: Paul Category: Blog Stuff

I was checking out my website stats this morning (I was at a loose end) and I found out these facts:

At least 7 people added me to their Favorites this month

Someone searching on google or some such site was looking for George Clooney Bells Palsy in the same search string

The United States takes most of the used bandwidth on my sites.

Someone in Iran read my blog 4 times this month so far

I am not a stats junkie, far from it. As I have said before I write for the fun of writing. I am not (in my eyes) that good of a blogger, I go AWOL for a week at a time when real life takes over. According to the stats I have on average between 300 and 600 per month, most of which are return visitors. I recognize a lot of IP ranges and things oh yeah theres 65.853.336.33 nice to see them having fun on my blog now and again.

When I moved from Blogger to WordPress I did so because I wanted more flexibility with how my blog looked and behaved.
It was the best move I ever made. Whilst my blog may not be the most fashionable and it may not have the most unique look in the world. I am really comfortable with it at the moment. I am however going to try and modify the colour scheme of things. I think that the dominant grey is a bit too drab and the red is just not bright enough to lift the spirit of the whole ensemble. So if I can work out how to do it or get my adorable graphically gifted brother to help me out, expect a new colour scheme soon.

I have added a new link over on my place I go section. It’s for Zoot Radio. Zoot is not a radio station BUT you will find free downloads of radio shows from times gone by. It’s called OTR (Old Time Radio). Waaaaaaaaaaay back before TV, radio was all the rage you know. Well Daddio over at Zoot is supplying you with enough nostalgia to last a lifetime and a half LITERALLY. OTR is a great way to relax and be entertained and not have to worry about dodging the nudity and bad language all over the TV (not that I object in ANY way to nudity on TV but if you do OTR is a great alternative). So zip over to Zoot and download you some fun. There’s not much that is truly free on the internet these days but Daddio has created this wonderful resource and he’s not asking a penny a cent nor a European euro.

That’s about it from me for now..

A waffle of a post

November 15, 2005 By: Paul Category: Images, TV/Movies/Music

Random things that go through my head in the first hour of work.

MONKEY BOY – Sung to the tune of wonder-boy by tenacious d. I haven’t gotten much further that those two words, but once I get the lyrics I am gonna out spoof the spoof song.

Bad Chapters from Really bad books. – I heard a radio show on BBC radio 4 a while back that dramatized First chapters from books that had never been written and were general spoofs on films and books of note. They were really funny. So I am working on a few for myself.

Does wearing a shirt and tie make me work any differently? Not really because I can still feel the burn of ripped flesh from my new tattoo of a scantily clad super woman under the shirt. (damn I’m a rebel)

New Tattoo
Yes folks, Saturday evening I went and got myself a new hobby. Turning myself into a work of art. It’s a hard reach i know but everything is beautiful at some point in it’s life and I am sure mine passed before I could talk but I want to make my statement.
Janet (the uber cool artist) summed it up best when she claimed…

” I am sick of inking skinny bitches… some people like women with meat on the bone…. something to hang on to”

As you can see, Coop’s wonder-girl isn’t the largest he’s done but she has all the curves in the right place. As you can probably imagine I have my own taste in ladies. They pretty much don’t include skinny i can see your ribs and you need a good big mac meal or two type ladies. Now don’t get me wrong, what a woman looks like has no influence on who they are. BUT just as women find Brad Pitt and George Clooney hunky I am sure they aren’t searching for their philosophies on world hunger and their takes on how to solve the middle east crisis.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet

I think Kate Winslett is hot when she has no make up on and is wearing jeans and is out with the kids with Sam Mendes (lucky bastard) or When she is wearing a nuns habit and talking about the best way to instigate phone sex. (and right here right now I make all apologies for making you watch that smug bastard Ricky Gervais but to hear those words come out of Kate Winsletts mouth… it’s worth the sacrifice). All this talk of larger woman is all really by the by. I don’t objectify women. Ladies are not there for my enjoyment. BUT I do enjoy women who are happy and comfortable within themselves ( I just don’t see how having your bones poking your skin all day can be comfortable :o ) )

My message to all women. BE YOURSELF AND HAVE A BIG MAC

BBC NEWS | England | Hereford/Worcs | Tag ‘too bulky’ for bail woman

I mean shit.. PLEASE when will the madness end. If she won’t wear the tag because it affects her dresss sense lets lock her up and see how that cramps her fucking style.. Screw justice.

Ass Burgers with a short attention span

November 09, 2005 By: Paul Category: Uncategorized

Go to Dad Gone Mad and see the latest mens illness. Take no notice of the last part of his blog entry, it’s not lie ass burgers syndrome is real.

Have you ever noticed that as fast as you need to get to work the mode of transport getting you there will always be 5 minutes slower!!

Random thoughts are going left right and centre through my head today. I can’t seem to stick to one thought long enough for it to come full circle. It’s frustrating as hell when you start something and you just can’t….

I listened to a great radio play series this morning ( I was up extra early and wasn’t in a music mood). It was by Nick Frasier and it was a Julie Enfield Investigates story. It was VERY steamy in places and if you get a chance you should try and catch a re-run on BBC7.

In fact if anyone is at a loose end for half an hour, go indulge yourself in a little radio on BBC7. They have the past 7 days archives available to listen to again at your leisure. I promise you you will find something you like. From older hits like The Goon Show and Hancocks Half Hour right up to The latest Doctor Who Adventures done by Big Finish. All you need is an internet connection (even dial up will do.. the bbc are good like that) and real player (or a real player alternative). Expand your mind and use your ears.

Just a short post today. Check out some of the links in this post and have a blast on me.. it’s all free.

Until Next Time…
