Desk Mates

I share my desk. It doesn’t matter where I am, whether it was when I used to work in an office or here at home, I have to have something to look at on my desk.

I recently cleared my desk of all the crap that had built up over the ast couple of months. I wiped the coffee stains off and found a coaster to rest my mug on. and I found that my little friends were hidden under the monitor looking rather cramped… so I pulled them out and gave them centre stage.

Land Locked Sailor

In the town where I live, there is a statue on the main High Street. It puzzles me as to why it is there. We are quite some distance from any body of water and as far as I can work out there is no real history to this town being a sea faring town.

This was taken with my Fuji JX400.

A Sailor out of Water

Bless him he got a little lost on the way to the Docks.

View From A Wall

This one was taken from the wall outside the local hospital.

I used these settings in Hipstamatic – Helga Viking Lens, Ina’s 1969 Film, No Flash

I love the vivid colours. If I remember rightly, this was a shake and prey shot. You never know what you are going to get when you shake the phone for random settings.

A view from my local hospitals wall

Such a nice day... too nice to be at a hospital.

The end of the Alter Bridge Concert

Streamers and Lasers, Oh My!

This is another shot from the Alter Bridge gig I went to in November. This shot is taken with a regular camera a Fuji JX400. It is untouched, I have just resized it to keep it sensible when uploading and showing images.

(Sorry, due to technical gremlins.. this is as big as this image gets. It is unclickable)

The Castle

This is a shot of the Pirate Castle at Bluewater Shopping Mall. When this image was taken the only thing I could think of was the fast food chain White Castle. I really REALLY wanted a Crave Case of White Castle Cheese Burger Sliders. damn those things are addictive.

The White Castle... not a burger in sight

Kaimal Mark II Lens, BlacKeys SuperGrain Film, No Flash

Coffee Heaven

One of my all time favourite things is coffee. I drink coffee pretty much all day. If I go out, I have to stop at a coffee shop.

This one was taken at a Supermarket that sell pretty good coffee for a non specialist place. All of their coffee is Fair Trade, so not only do I get a nice cup of coffee, I also help coffee bean growers make some dough… Win/Win

Cappuccino.. Don't mind if I do

Tendrils Of Lava

Late one night or possibly even early morning, I woke up with a start and couldn’t get back to sleep. So I got my phone out and started playing around. As I had fallen asleep with my bedside lamp on it was making some rather strange shapes. Here is one I caught.

This is done with Hipstamatic – Roboto Glitter lens, Kodot XGrizzled film.

Strange shapes.. kinda like what goes on inside my head at 2am
