Through various life problems and crap that fate threw at me in my 37 years I often feel split and torn between two identities. When I was younger I used to joke that I had an Evil Twin that made me do crazy stuff and get me into no end of weird situations. As my life progressed I realised that my Evil Twin wasn’t just a joke but a part of me that will be with me for life… like it or not.
When Hipstamatic bought out their Dali Pak I took this image without testing on anything else. This was the first Image I took with the new pak.
Freaked me out no end.. my mind was in the picture and it all made sense.
A few days back I posted an image of the morning sky. This is an alternative take on pretty much the same image except it was taken using Hipstamatic.
Buckhorst H1 Lens, Rock BW-11 Film, No Flash
To quote the movie The Doors:
Some of the worst mistakes in my life have been haircuts
Hipstamatic using Roboto Glitter, BlacKeys B+W,
I thought I would offer a comparison test today. One image two outcomes after using ACDsee Camera Flash app.
Hipstamatic using Lucifer VI , Blanko Noir,
Same Hipstamatic settings but with ACDsee Camera Flash app used at about 30%.
In hindsight, I really like the brooding darkness of the before shot, but the after lightened shot is nice too as you get to see some more of the grizzled features of the Sailor.
What do you think?
Taken with Hipstamatic using Buckhorst H1 Lens, Claunch 72 Monochrome Film.
Taken using Hipstamatic – Lucifer VI Lens, Blanko Film,
A while back I posted a picture of a landlocked sailor. This is a close up of the Dog that stands with the sailor.
When I first moved here there was an article in the local free newspaper that gets delivered each week about an attraction in town called CSI Sittingbourne. I had visions of a Grisham type person spraying Luminol all over the place and shooting dummies whilst blasting out The Who. It was in fact an archaeological preservation team that had been working in the area.
Unfortunately the CSI Sittingbourne project has had to close down due to lack of funds… it’s a shame as it got my Nephew interested in Archaeology. Hopefully they will be able to open up again soon.
Edit: I just had a comment to let me know that CSI Sittingbourne is back up and running for three days a week Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 3-45 (often later). They have a website that I was previously unaware of here is the link: CSI Sittingbourne. If you are in the area at any of those times, why not drop in.
Around 11pm last night, I was sat outside having a cigarette and I looked over to the wall by the door and came face to face with this:I mean.. in February.. Honestly I ask you.
