This is the last Lava picture.. (for a while anyway)
I really really like the Lava pictures I took. There is something about them that is just…. out there.
This is one I took with Camera+. Yes it is distorted to crazy proportions. This is because I shot it with Max Zoom and really close up. I knew the image would turn out pixilated and crazy… I achieved my goal, I think.
I added a boarder using Pixlr-O-Matic (desktop version.)

What a Lava-ly Mess I Made
I was sat on the edge of my bed last night trying to find a radio station that didn’t suck and I had my lava lamp on. I looked over and realised that the wax in the lamp had already started de-solidifying. I whipped out Hipstamatic and set up the Dali Pak and this is what came back when I looked at the prints this morning.
I love the Dali Pak. It reminds me that not everything that I perceive as messed up is genuinely messed up.. it’s all in HOW you look at the end result.
Today has been spent trying to relax and quell my inner geek.

Doctor Who and Vintage BBC Radio. Sounds like a pretty good day to me.
When I started playing with apps and filters in Photoshop I tried to get images that looked genuine. I still don’t think I have got it. I am sure that I could probably get close, but there is always that missing something from the “modern aged” photos.
This image is of my wife’s two Brothers, Gilbert and Clarence. It dates back from around 1951-52. It was taken with a Box Brownie Camera on 110 film. It has been scanned and left as is.
