I am sure I have mentioned it before, but I am getting into gaming in a rather big way right now. I hadn’t really considered how much of a real art form Games are. As the progress in films CGI technologies have progressed over the past couple of decades, looking at the standard of imagery used in modern games is a whole world away from the last time I tried gaming seriously. The above image is from a game called Battlefield 1 and it is set in during the First World War, and it is totally immersive once you start playing.
I grabbed this image by going into an empty multiplayer “room” and “flying” around a bit.

See those chocolate Palm Trees? They sit atop a cup of glorious wonder that tasted so sweet, you would be forgiven for forgetting that I am Diabetic and I just lost my mind and decided to slip into a Hypoglycemic coma!
OK, I may be over-egging the pudding a bit, but this coffee did taste really good for three reasons:
- It was from my favourite coffee shop
- It was bloody cold outside and it was great to get in out of the wind
- It was “free”
Yep, free. I had accumulated enough points to get a free one on the house. So I did and it tasted so much better for it.
I took half an hour to sit with that wonder coffee and read my book and listened to some music, it was just a great way to destress after some pretty shitty days. Anyway, onwards and upwards. Tomorrow folks!

If you are a frequent user of Facebook then you undoubtedly have seen 1001 different Self Positive memes like this one. However, I made this one so it makes it better than everyone else’s So Ner Ner!

I have a corrupted Motherboard of a mind. It has its fun times, but mostly, it bloody sucks the joy and fun out of the world.
Oh well, on to tomorrow!

This really twists my nipple nuts. Over the past few years I have noticed that grocery items have been getting smaller and smaller, but pretty much staying at the same price. The above image really highlights the extremes that it has gotten to.
This Twix bar is just a little longer than a regular pack of gum. Having two sticks in your Twix doesn’t make up for it being so much shorter!
To which body do I complain about this?

This, believe it or not, is a picture of the sky taken in my back garden last Summer. I had used an app called Hipstamatic which has loads of different type of films and lens’. This combo is a Salvador Dali image which kind of messes up the image in a Daliesque style. This is quite possibly my favourite combo in the app, but I am trying to expand my use of the app to include more natural styles.

Quite simply put, this is the one constant from every Christmas since I was a kid. Every year, my brother and I got a box of MatchMakers in our Christmas Stockings and that tradition has carried on ever since. However this year, I took a quick look at the packaging and came across this silly serving suggestion. 4 Sticks = 1 Serving!!!
Who eats just four Matchmakers at once?
It’s just madness, my box was gone in one sitting; I didn’t share either!
Towards the end of Summer last year, I got wind of a new video game coming out. I am not (or wasn’t) a big gamer. I had one or two PC games that I used to play on very odd occasions, but I was never what you would ordinarily call a gamer. When I heard that Injustice: Gods Amongst Us was getting a sequel, I got all kinds of excited. You see, that is the one game that I could play for hours and hours and not get bored. The problem, however, was that my poor old PC would have nowhere near the power to play the game once it was released. SO I put my thinking cap on and came up with the hair-brained solution that I would see what it was like to play on a Games Console.
And then it began. I started off with a cheap second hand Xbox 360, just to test the waters and see if I would get along with playing on a console. Having not used one since the Playstation 2 came out (and I was crap then) – I took tentative steps into finding out which games suited me. I purchased the original Injustice game to play on the 360 and found that it was just like coming home. From there in a blur I found myself looking at deals for the Xbox One.
To cut a long story short, I now have an XBox One S – and I find myself addicted to another game whilst I await Injustice 2 – This game is Dead Rising 4. From the first trailer I saw for this game I knew I wanted to play it. It is just so off the wall fun, that I can easily lose 3 or 4 hours playing it without really achieving anything of note in the game. Zombie Bashing is my new stress relief.
And yes that is my character with a fire axe in his hand and a reindeer head after smashing a few zombie skulls.
It occurred to me this afternoon, that I could make this challenge a little easier by assigning some of the days of the week a theme. As I mentioned in my last post, I attempted a photo challenge before and I had to stop after 100 days, that was partly due to circumstances outside of my control, but also, I was finding it hard to find new things to post and keep it fresh.
I think if there are set things that will be posted on certain days, then it will reduce the strain of being totally original each day. This isn’t a cop-out, I don’t intend on just posting the same thing every week. It’s my plan to keep things light-hearted and fun, but with a little bit of structure to go along with the challenge.
The first theme will be Mug Monday.
I collect mugs, my family would say I hoard mugs and cups, but the fact is my parents started this madness when I was a child and insisted on buying me Easter Eggs that came with either a mug or an egg cup. These little foibles of my family got me started and into teendom and adulthood, I have just carried on collecting. Some get broken along the way and a little bit of my heart gets chipped away. So I just do what any normal person would do, I replace it and move on. If friends and family are stuck for a gift idea…. I get a mug and I am happy.

OK, so this is me. Looking at myself in the mirror lately, I see a tired old man who has given up on himself. Looking at myself from the outside I know that it is down to the changing of the year and my usual slide into negative thinking over the post-New Year period. Once April comes around, things will start to look up. Until then I have to try and keep my spirits raised and looking towards any small glimpse of positivity.
Don’t worry, there won’t be to much negativity through these posts, I promise.
