Head Rest At Speed

The past 36 hours have been technically challenging. I don’t claim to be a guru at anything, but I know my way around the Internet. I like to think that I am savvy enough to keep on top of current trends and can adapt pretty quickly and with a level head to pretty much anything.

Having an email account hacked for the first time ever was a new one. I went into self preservation mode to start with and then slowly talked myself down from there.

Anyway, it’s still not completely sorted but I only have a couple of things left to sort and then I can forget it all ever happened.

Today’s image is what I felt like I was running into constantly yesterday.

My head should have been Strawberry Jam all over this.

Code Blind

This evening I updated one of my other blogs themes. It is based on WordPress and it was the first theme that I had used a Child Theme on. I thought I would be OK to update and the changes I made to the CSS file would be carried over… alas this was not the case. So for the past 6 hours I have been fighting with CSS code and getting no where fast. So far I have downloaded so many programmes to try and get this CSS to work it’s unreal. It’s gotten to the stage where I have installed an offline server so I can “rebuild” the blog offline and hammer out the problems.. this lead to even more Code Blindness.

It makes sense to "someone"

A Guest Post: Morning Sky Burning

I had planned on asking around for people to submit a guest image. I hadn’t mentioned this to anyone as I still had to work out the details of what sort of images I would like and other finer details.

Well today it all kind of went out of the window when my wife, Linda, said that she had gotten a few colourful pictures this morning at silly o’ clock. She doesn’t have an iPhone just an entry level LG520 Android phone. To be honest I wasn’t hopeful but I was pleasantly surprised at the out come.

We have named this one Morning Sky Burning. There have been no effects added. It’s just a point it at the sky and see what happens. I am impressed.

Empty Sky

Whilst I was playing with this image in Snapseed, I was reminded of the Bruce Springsteen song Empty Sky from the album The Rising. The song is essentially a recollection of his life on that September morning in 2001.

This image was taken with Camera+ and as I mentioned was fudged with in Snapseed. I had to take out some of the noise in PhotoShop but that is all the outside help that has been done.

Recolections of September 2001.

Here is an acoustic version of Empty Sky by Bruce Springsteen.
