Springing Forward

Seeing as I lost an hour of sleep last night I am denying Springs existence today. Yes this tree branch is budding as it should but I HATE losing sleep (being an insomniac is hellish ya know.) So I sucked all the colour out of this and pinholed it using Infinicam (they make the great app CameraBag)

On a different note, I am going to be spending some time over the next few days adding a few posts and pages to the site to highlight some of my favourite apps and maybe some of the different photographers I have come across since I began this iteration of Spnak. I think I need to get more content than just one picture a day. Onwards and Upwards as they say

I am surprised at the silly little things I see dotted around town.

Take ol Chef here. He isn’t on a street, he is hidden up a little side alley where you would miss him if you weren’t just passing by.

Anywho today’s image is messed with with ScratchyCam FX which I just got as it was on special offer for a limited period. check it out if you don’t have it. Try not to take my effort into account, this one was done as a personal retro thing as a reminder of what I used to do when I first started messing with graphics in PaintShop Pro way back 12/13 years ago. Ahhh those were the days.

Today in the UK it’s Mothers Day. Each year I am more thankful that my Mum has stuck by me and has given so much to help me get to where I am at the moment.

When I was a petulant youth I always thought that by the time I was in my mid 30′s I would have everything sorted out and be oh so bang on with everything. But, life can deal you some crappy hands and you need to re-evaluate what means most and how you handle things. I am so lucky that I have a really great family that is held together by a really strong woman… My Mum. (I would include a picture of her, but she is camera shy and I value my life far to much :) )

Anyway onto today’s image. I plunged and got Diptic and whilst I am still learning how best to use it.. this is what I came up with today. It is straight forward to use and there is no real learning curve to getting started but I will be hunting down some tutorials to get a better grip on it.

It would be UNpatriotic NOT to eat it.

I must admit, everything seems to be going Olympics crazy at the moment. Seeing as I live in Kent we get a lot more coverage. Not quite as much as London does but we are be hailed as “The Gateway To The Games.” Whihc is cool I suppose but that’s one hell of a long garden path to walk down to get to East London.
